Renovations at old City Hall – also known as the James R. McIntyre Government Center – began last fall. About three months later, the building has been nearly gutted (see photos below). Quincy Sun Photo/Robert Bosworth

Demolition inside the second floor of Old City Hall - also known as the James R. McIntyre Government Center – is nearly complete. The space formerly comprised the City Council Chamber and City Council offices. The space will be converted into a 180-person Great Hall. The council will be seated at the far end of the Great Hall (background.). Quincy Sun Photo/Robert Bosworth
