Catherine E. Fletcher, age 65, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully Saturday, April 8, 2017 at South Shore Hospital.
She was born in Boston, raised and educated in Dorchester. Catherine graduated from the former St. Matthew’s Grammar School, St. Gregory’s High School, Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing (Class of 1972), and Boston College. Catherine had lived in Weymouth for the past four years, previously in Quincy for 35 years, and earlier in Milton.
Catherine was employed as a registered nurse, working at MGH for nearly four decades, including 30 years on the Medical ICU. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and music. She was also an avid traveler, especially a cruise enthusiast, and had journeyed throughout the world.
Beloved daughter of the late Jean M. (Ellard) and Henry C. “Harry” Fletcher. Devoted sister of William H. Fletcher and his wife Janice of Marshfield. Loving aunt of Michael C. Fletcher and his wife Rachael of Leominster, David H. Fletcher and his wife Renee of Brookline. Loving great-aunt of Liam Michael Fletcher and Ella Grace Fletcher. Dear friend of Maureen Beaulieu and Gloria Gilson. Beloved for her friendship and generosity by the Bandini family.
Graveside Services will be conducted at Milton Cemetery, 211 Centre Street, Milton, on Tuesday, April 18 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Please meet at the main gate of the cemetery.
