Arthur F. “Sonny” LaFleur, Jr., 52, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully on June 13, 2017 surrounded by the love, comfort and care of family.
Sonny served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee, and was a member of Cyril P. Morrisette Post #294 of the American Legion, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #841 of Rockland.
For the past year and a half he worked in the Maintenance Dept of Colonial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Weymouth. For many years prior he was the co-owner and operator of Briyel Construction.
He was the long-time, loving companion of Denise Beliveau of Weymouth. Son of Joan M. (Brunstrom) LaFleur of Weymouth and the late Arthur F. LaFleur, Sr. Dear brother of Janine LaFleur of Weymouth, Leigh Ann Zemp and her husband Darin of Weymouth, and Marc LaFleur of Fla. Cherished uncle of James LaFleur, Jenny Healy, David LaFleur, Michael LaFleur, Tiffany Zemp & Tyler Zemp. Also survived by four Great-nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends.
Visiting Hours will be held Saturday June 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St., Quincy Center, during which time a wake service will be offered by dear family friend, Fr. George Winchester.
