Rosalina Orden Reyes, 97, of Quincy, passed away peacefully at home on the afternoon August 8, 2017 surrounded by the love, comfort and care of family. She was the devoted wife of 44 years to the late Teodoro R. Reyes, Sr. who died in 1988.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Mrs. Reyes made her career there as an elementary school teacher before immigrating to the U.S. in 1978.
Beloved mother of Edwin “Ed” Reyes and his wife Adelaida of Quincy, the late Florante “Flor” Reyes and his wife Evelyn of the Philippines, Rolando “Rolly” Reyes and his wife Nelly of Calif., Teodoro “Junior” Reyes and his wife Corazon of Calif., Lovinia “Lovie” Peterson and her husband Cliff of Calif., Erma Lazo and her husband Manuel of Calif., and Preciosa “Precy” and her husband Dr. Dante Lantin of Quincy.
Cherished grandmother of 23 and great grandmother of 33. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of her 2nd great-great grandchild who is due later this month. Also survived by extended family both in the U.S. and the Philippines.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited, will be held Saturday, August 12 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 115 Crescent St., West Quincy. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
