Theresa A. “Terry” (Mucci) Kerfien, age 66, of Brockton, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Seasons Hospice Milton Inpatient Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Theresa was born in Dorchester and was raised and educated in Quincy schools. She was a graduate of North Quincy High School, Class of 1969. She had lived in Brockton for the past two years, previously in Quincy for over thirty years.
Terry had been employed as an administrative assistant at the former St. Mary’s Elementary School in West Quincy for many years where she made many friends.
She enjoyed sewing for family and friends but her passion was her devotion to her family and especially her cherished grandchildren. Terry actively supported all their many activities and accomplishments.
Beloved wife for forty-five years of Darren W. Kerfien. Devoted mother of Darren C. Kerfien and his wife Sandy of Taunton, and Audra L. Bardsley of Brockton. Loving grandmother and “Daba” of Kylee, Adam, Christine, Brian, James, Emily, and Samantha. Cherished daughter of Salvatore and Grace M. (Walsh) Mucci of Scituate.
Dear sister of Regina Kerfien of Quincy, Nancy Blauss of Stoughton, Joanne Penwarden of Quincy, Victoria Bifano of Dedham, and Sandra Mucci of Quincy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Saturday, June 9th at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home Friday 4 – 8 p.m. At the request of the family, interment will be private.
