It was a sad day on September 29, 2026, when Rita (Roby) Themuda passed away—another victim of cancer.
The daughter of the Lillian and Theodore S. Roby was born and raised in Dorchester. After graduating from Dorchester High School in 1969, she worked as an Executive Administrator at the Suffolk County Jail for 37 years before retiring in 2013.
She was also a resident of Quincy, Halifax, and Rockland, all in Massachusetts.
Rita was predeceased by her husband Michael Themuda, her parents, Lillian (Goulet) and Theodore Roby, and her loving sister Lillian (Roby) Chenoweth.
She is survived by her affectionate and cuddly cats, Tippa and Snowflake, her loving sister Carol (Roby) LaFleur and husband Robert LaFleur, and her boyfriend of 10 years, Frank Hill.
Visiting hours Sunday October 4, 2026 from 12:00-3:00pm at Hamel-Lydon Chapel, 650 Hancock St, Quincy. Funeral Monday October 5 at 11:00am at Hamel-Lydon Chapel. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, 815 Willard St, West Quincy.
